SPE is a boutique event planning and hospitality company located in Los Angeles, California, known for thoughtful residential style, and relaxed sophistication. We specialize in planning for intimate atmospheres to large-scale productions and carry a unique combination of expertise in full-scale event production and unparalleled hospitality services.
Founded in 2007, Steven Petrarca Events set out to fulfill an unmet need in the events world: a full- service company with flawless attention to detail and its own integrated service staff of the highest quality - because the people with whom your guests interact are as important as any other aspect of the event.
With over two decades of experience in every aspect of production, design, logistics, hospitality and service, Steven Petrarca and the team have produced everything from a backyard Beyonce concert to a dinner with President Obama. We’ve built an ice rink, a ninety-thousand square foot maze, and a nightclub on an abandoned rooftop. We’ve planned weddings on remote sand beaches and still enjoy creating the perfect dinner for two for a special occasion.
Our events are considered, met with imaginative vision, and are adaptable to reflect our client’s personal taste and style. Through a seamless integration of design, production and service, we curate experiences comprised of texture and taste.

Steven believes first and foremost in cultivating strong lasting relationships with clients, earning trust, and being a reliable partner for their events, both large and small.
With an understanding and appreciation of design and architecture, he has forged close relationships with interior designers and high-end fashion/luxury brands who trust him to translate their brand identity into events. For his private clients, Steven brings a special sensitivity and care to the residential setting, understanding that entertaining at home is a projection of the host’s style and personality.
He has cultivated his love of food and wine, having had the privilege of working alongside some of the country’s greatest chefs. He is a trusted consultant in the industry for executing unparalleled hospitality at any scale. At the same time, he can find you the best taco cart in SoCal and serve up a mean cocktail to go with it. Steven is a dedicated dad to three kids, and enjoys hiking, travel, theater, and endless renovations.

Aaron joined the team in 2018, after a decade designing and producing events and destination weddings from Napa to Tuscany. He has an affinity for the California Modern aesthetic, but also enjoys eclectic and contemporary design. His innate ability to tune into clients’ inspiration, and then build upon their vision, creates a strong foundation for the detailed events we produce, and ultimately results in happy clients. His design work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides Magazine, Rue Magazine, The Lane, and C Weddings.
